XCopilot is an AI-powered writing assistant Chrome extension for X (formerly Twitter). This privacy policy explains what data the extension accesses, how it is used, and your rights regarding your data.
Data We Access
- Tweet text content: Provided as context to generate AI replies/quotes. Sent externally to your configured LLM API endpoint. Not stored by us.
- Author name and handle: Included in generation context. Sent externally to your configured LLM API endpoint. Not stored by us.
- Follow relationship status & User activity: Displayed as UI enhancement. In-memory cache only. Never sent externally.
- Extension settings: Stored locally and synced to your configured backend server.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect personal identification information
- We do not collect browsing history outside of x.com/twitter.com
- We do not collect passwords or authentication tokens
- We do not use cookies or tracking technologies
- We do not sell, trade, or transfer any data to third parties
Third-Party Services
XCopilot connects to external services configured by you (such as your LLM API Provider and your custom Backend Server). We do not connect to any third-party service without your explicit configuration.
